    Fatalty f190hd\catalist sftware

    Hi, abitr's

Nice to an alterante forum since the restructure. Anyway...
wonderin' anyone has some feedback for this setup. been usin' the radeon xpress 1200 chipset in a couple diffrnt M.B. over the last 3-4 yrs. Experienced w\it. like it. no problems, except for one the last 6 months.

The catalyst 9.2 just doesn't recognize the full capability of my video equiipment. It doesn't: 1. recognize the 1080i resolution ability. 2. doesn't allow me to force the resolution via catalist settings. There is no 1080i 60hz for me to choose from, only in a 25pal or 30 ntsc. when I attempt a force (I can choose a force that has the 1080i 60hz) but it wants me to add it to the other resolutions contingent it will pass use the popup manual increase \decrease size box. This is maxed out at 1280x720 and no further. That is the same resoluton my desktop uses. (yes, I am usin the two, yes I have been usin' the clone mode) it has just been easier, since I have not spent much investigation w\the settings until recently to confirm this failure. It doesn't matter if the monitor and projector are desktops 1 & 2 or if I disconnect the desktop vga cable at the midtower pinouts to let my projector boot up independently from any infulence. The hdmi has always recognized and identified both video equipment whether both attached in clone mode or when running the projector singlely. It just doesn't get the resolution correct. I should relate the reason for all this is 1. this resolutin was recognized by catalist in a prior version a year or two ago. 2. (don't remember the version, but it may not work even if I did as newer version of other drivers such as updated HDMI and HDMI audio as well may not then function properly.)

I would also point out that manipulation on the projector's side of the hardware does not allow for manipulation at the 1080i resolution
    thnx,
