Re: Abit IP35 + WD My Book Home (eSATA)
Have you checked eSata is enabled in the BIOS with the JMicron controller? Is it even detected from the BIOS?
Re: Abit IP35 + WD My Book Home (eSATA)
Where i can find it? Because only what i know it is that i have:
Bus Master Enabled
- OnChip SATA Controller Enabled
- OnChip SATA Mode IDE

Re: Abit IP35 + WD My Book Home (eSATA)
can you confirm exact model (e.g. IP35-E, IP35, IP35 Pro etc.)?

Re: Abit IP35 + WD My Book Home (eSATA)
yes, but lot's of people write IP35 when they really mean IP35-E or Pro - just confirming. ;)
onchip refers to the ICH9R on an IP35, onboard refers to the JMicron (which provides the rear eSata ports on a Pro but the IP35 doesn't have those).
have you tried enabling AHCI?
Re: Abit IP35 + WD My Book Home (eSATA)
Have you tried connecting it up powering up the external hdd then powering up the pc?
It should then appear.
Re: Abit IP35 + WD My Book Home (eSATA)
to use this, you got to set the bios to AHCI mode + Intel Matrix installed on windows.
You will need to plug the power source as the esata cable doesnt provide the power source.
