Abit IP-35 Pro - memory for Windows 7

I have the Abit IP-35 Pro motherboard. How much memory is recommended for Windows 7 (64-bit) to make it run fast with apps like MS Office? I currently have 4GB in my Vista 64-bit system.

I'd imagine that was already total overkill for running office...

4GB is excellent for Windows 7, it's good enough for Vista as thats what I'm currently using & Windows 7 is a better operating system as I've tried the beta version myself.

    Keep what you already have.

Thanks Nelly. My system is getting on a bit now and i've preordered Windows 7. I'm hoping that when I install it it will feel like i've upgraded my system in terms of performance.

Re: Abit IP-35 Pro - memory for Windows 7

I am currently running 4GB right now on Win7 64 bit and it runs great. Like stated above 4GB is even overkill for office 2007 and the like. I would recommend buying the 64 bit version of Win7 if you ever plan on adding more ram though.
