AB9 Pro Randomly resets BIOS coming out of sleep.

I have had this problem ever since I put this computer together. I had a different graphics card, windows XP, and no sound card. What happens is when it comes out of sleep (sometimes, and a lot less now that I have Vista for some reason), it will power on, then power off, then power back on but nothing will show on the screen. I have to turn it off and back on.

When this happens, the BIOS has reset itself back to defaults. I have tried putting memory timings so that they are 1:1 and not OC'ing my CPU but this has not helped.

Any ideas on what could be going on?

    Thanks

Have you got the bios updated? You should have version : 22 .You can get it there : Abit Web

Does the problem appear only while coming out of sleep?Any BSODs (blue screens) ,unexpected crashes ?

Yeah I have BIOS 22 from 11/06/2007. It only happens coming out of sleep. I used to have some BSODs but not since Vista. Also I have had problems with this RAM, I have had it replaced about 4 times now. Memtest on this pair doesn't show any problems though.

Have you checked erors in 'event viewer' (control panel/administrative tools)?

You can also check power options and make sure that the system is always on.

I don't see anything out of place in the event viewer. I can check it again next time it happens though. Also maybe I'll check the post code on my motherboard to see if it has any useful information. I could keep the computer from going to sleep but I want it to sleep.

Re: AB9 Pro Randomly resets BIOS coming out of sleep.

I had a very similar problem with my AB9 QuadGT but it was mostly when cold starting though also sometimes when coming out of sleep. BIOS settings would reset and the machine would hang with a black screen and needed a full power off/on to reset. The problem in the end was a duff memory DIMM.
