    Help OC'ing IP35pro/e6750go

I looking for help/suggestions on overclocking my rig.
IP35pro-e6750go with xigmatek963HSF-4G Gskill 8500-HD3850/256-80G WD HDD, etc.
I have it running 3424z(428x8) ram at 1070, Temps 30-33 idle, 48-54 running FSX for load. Haven't run memtest or any of that yet. Stable with a glitch every now and then. I would appreciate advice/comments/suggestions on my current settings. I'm using Guru, which seems to agree with the other monitoring programs, ie., RealTemp, CoreTemp, CPU-Z, SpeedFan, etc.
    Settings:
    Vcore 1.50 DDR 2.1
    MCH 1.37 ICHIO 1.6
    cpuVTT 1.27 DDR ref 0%
    ICH 1.12
    GTL R 67% GTL R 67%
Any and all help/comments would be greatly appreciated, I'm relatively new at this. I'm trying to get my old rig to run FSX at decent frame rates. I think the 256 DDR2 on the 3850 is a bottleneck?, so I've got a 4870-1G DDR5 on order. Probably overkill, but I'm hoping I don't have to buy a CPU to get where I want to be. Thanks in advance. You have all been a big already,as I've been lurking the site for a while now. Great site, hate to see Abit go.

take it that you've read through http://forums.hexus.net/abit-care-he...de-thread.html ?
there should be a similar but larger thread at Xtremsystems if you hunt for it.
with this (& similar) mobo being several years old now all the overclockers that push for the latest & greatest will have moved on to another platform some time ago.

Thanks Buff, ya, I've looked, and still looking at xtremesys, OCnet, OCforums, and Googled till I'm blue in the face. You're right, this old rig is not in the limelight anymore, but it's still a good board, and I don't want to spend the money right now for another. I may have to go to quad to get the results I'd like. Thanks for the reply. Oh, by the way, are you the same Buff I see posting on the Saitek forum quite frequently?? If so, I appreciate your posts, learned a bit from them.

yup, that's me - haven't been doing much simming in the last year though so I haven't been posting at Saitek for a while.

I have the same board and chip at 3.2ghz. I'm a complete novice but all I did was increase the multiplyer to a level of temps/performance that I was happy with, and leave it.

Don't know if that'll be much help though.

Thanks, format. I'm kinda new at this OC stuff too. I'm trying to avoid buying a faster CPU by clocking up my current one. The 6750 is a sweet over clocker.
I'm at 3.504, but still have a few "artifacts" on FSX. I am cooling limited at this point. Temps are 55-57 at load, but I don't want to push much more.
Thanks for the reply,, good luck with your rig. Gary
