Should I apply the latest beta BIOS firmware?

I have an IP35-e with a Core 2 Duo E4500, running either BIOS 15 or 16. Everything seems to have been working fine for a year and a half, except for the double boot issue after power failures. Is there any point in upgrading to the latest beta (post-18) BIOS? Will it help with overclocking or with trying to get OS X installed? Should I do it "just because"?

    Thanks!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'm running the original BIOS on my Ip35 PRO and it's running just fine

As he ^ says! Unless the bios update fixes a specific problem that you are experiencing, leave it be!
