    IP35 Pro Power Issue

I'm new to the forum and need a hand if possible. I have a pc with an IP35 pro that will not start. The pc has been working fine since Jan 2008, over the weekend I attempted to add a second SATA Hard Drive and the pc will now not power on. The new HDD was removed, with no change.

The 3VSB LED lights up red, however the VCC LED never turns on (indicating system power is not on). The POST display reads 2 when the power supply is turned on, then quickly changes to 01 where it stays. When I try to power on pc there is no response, neither the case switch or the motherboard power switch make any difference.

    PC Specs are below:

    abit ip35 pro
    Intel Q6600 2.4ghz processor
Cooler Master/CM Real Power Pro 750
    Zalman CPU Fan
    4 Gig Crucial Ballistic Memory (4x1 gig) PC2 6400 DDR2 800 Timing 4-4-4-12 2.2V
    WD Black 500gig HDD
    XFX GEForce 8800GT video card
    CM690 case
    Sony NEC SATA DVD

I have tried a second power supply, cm rs-460, with the same result. Also removed and reset all power connections, removed and attempted to start without the video card, etc. all with the same result. The CMOS was cleared both via the jumpers and the switch on the IO panel with no luck.

My thought is the board is fried, but I'm (obviously) hoping that is not the case.

Any others run across this issue, or have any input on the VCC LED remaining off?

    Thanks

    cls

    Re: IP35 Pro Power Issue

    No feedback?

Issue resolved by changing the CMOS battery. Apparently when the battery is drained there is no response from even the ps fans. It was the last attempt before replacing the MB, after checking every connection and completely dis-assembling and rebuilding the pc. Much cheaper than replacing the MB.
