Hi all,

I've been working on breathing some new life into my ageing system and recently bought a second set of 2x1GB CORSAIR XMS2 DDR2 to go with the two i already have. Had some trouble getting all 4 sticks working but now it seems stable enough.

I then proceeded to upgrade my CPU from an E6600 (dual core) to a Q6600 (quad core) and when it arrived I had some trouble getting the Arctic Freezer 7 Heatsink/Fan onto the new CPU i.e. the pushpins seemed too tight to lock by hand so i decided to use a small flatblade screwdriver...

As i was tightening the last pushpin my hand slipped and i caught the motherboard with the screwdriver! Oops

I can see a couple of small scratches near the heatsink/cpu area of the AW9D and i'm worried I may have broken a track or two as now the system won't boot if a DIMM is put into slots 1 or 2 but I can use slots 3 & 4 OK.

Would really appreciate some advice and I can try and post a close up photo if that would help.

Thanks,
Andy
