graphics card failed to be switched

To cut a massive story short i have been acused of cheating in a fault finding exam including a Abit motherboard.

I booted up the computer with the VGA cable plugged into a motherboard onboard graphics.

The computer had a graphics card installed.

Usually you would expect that an onboard would not show any graphics if it had a graphics card installed.

I need a list of errors to prove that i seen a message appear along th lines of " failed to switch graphics " do not take this as a quote as im not 100% sure that the message appered exactly like this but i am sure that a message along these lines does exist".

Could someone please help me find this error message/code or please point me in the right direction to find out the information of all the possible abit motherboard errors.

You would litrally be saving my whole Career

    Thanks

Find who made you bios chip form the data sheet for your mobo. There are only really two iirc; AMi and Phoenix.

Then plug that in coupled with 'error codes' and you should get a list.

Do you know the model you were using?

All abit bios use phoenix AwardBIOS, Although I don't recall ever seeing an error message like that.

    EDIT:
That last links is a bit old. I found another one http://www.bioscentral.com/postcodes/awardbios.htm

    Maybe you seen this message:
DISPLAY TYPE HAS CHANGED SINCE LAST BOOT - Since last powering off the system, the display adapter has been changed. You must configure the system for the new display type
