Hi, i have an old pc using the motherboard aw9d-max but recently the video card 8800gtx died little over 1 month ago

I am interested in buying a 460GTX but I do not know what version of the 460GTX is compatible 768MB / 1GB or it does not matter

I am somewhat confused in previous post in this forum say this motherboard need to use bios 1.5/1.6 to get gtx460 run as normal.

but in other post say this motherboard has problems with geforce 460GTX??
or definitely not is compatible

Just buy something else then if you are that unsure
