Abit IP35 Dark Raider with Windows 8

Anyone using this combo yet (I mean of course the Win 8 previews)? Any issues so far?

Am looking to use the mobo with 6GiB DDR2, E4300, Radeon X1950 with the 64bit version of Win 8. Hoping it'll run OK tho obviously not for the latest games....

I tried my abit ip35 pro + 4gb ddr2 + E8400 with Win 8, it works fine

I had q6600 + 4gb ddr2 and never had a problem ,but your GPU is light years old

If you can run windows 7, 8 should be fine.. you dont need to worry about that new added GUI being demanding because that doesnt need to be used it actually has a desktop the same as windows 7 the metro interface is just for people who like the idea of the new "live tiles" or want to make touch screens easier to use..

But you could really use updating that GPU at the very least..

Yeah runs 7 fine, have a spare GTX260 so might try putting that in. Probably won't put 8 on it after all, a recent Linux will do for my purposes...
