    What is your current BIOS?

If I were you I would download the last I found: BIOS ID 18

    BIOS ID:18

Fixed the Wake Up by WAKE# of PCIe function abnormality.
Fixed 45nm CPU compatibility and support CPU half multiplier.
Fixed system hang when used Intel PXE CPU series.
Fixed the power-on switch unable shut down when to set "Password" to shut down.
    BIOS compiled date: 05/30/2008.

    IP35-E BIOS ID:18 BIOS Download

EDIT: Intel Core 2 Duo Support List

By this list, I got to tell you, your MoBo will never run with a E8400. The highest you can go is a E6850. Sorry

In that case go ahead and update, we have a living proof that it should be functional.

You didn't look hard enough. There's a thread on this forum: http://forums.hexus.net/abit-care-he...0-updates.html

BIOS Version 18 (or 1.8?) isn't the newest one.
The Beta E0 (45nm) BIOS which doesn't have a version in the filename is the last BIOS for this board, and it's supposed to fix all the compatibility issues with E0 / 45m CPUs.
The abit.ws website backup is nice and all, but just like the original Abit website, there's no trace of the E0 updates/Beta BIOSes.
