    Cool AWD9 Max Setup

Just about to put together this....

    AWD9 Max
    Intel conroe 2.4 6600
    2 X Maxtor 10 250Gb raid 0
    2 X Sony AW-G170AB DVD Ram drives
    Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 (2X1Gb)
Mitsumi FA404 FDD & card reader (if I can get one!)
    Antec Titan 550 case
    XP Home

I know the memory is a bit of an overkill at 1066 but I may be able to squeese it up furthur than 800. Has anyone put anything similar together and if so what can I expect or do to crank it up? cooling will be bog standard to start with any help with overclocking and bios set up would be apreceated.

Pretty sure that there are a few running Dominator on the Abit-USA forums.
Probably the best place to ask for some specific advice.

Rich, our memory should run just fine with the ABIT MOBOs. Also, there are several different speed grades of Dominator available now so you have some options. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hi guys, thanks for the input, Yellobeard I already ordered the 8500 from overclockers, it was cheeper than the 6400! still if Abit do things with the bios I may be able to push it above 800 one day, either that or wait for an AWD10!
And Buff thanks for pointing me at the US forum I got a reply in minuits.
Has anyone got any guidelines on voltages and timings that I can try?

Depending on what the ABIT bios offers, you can safely set the memory voltage up to 2.4v without voiding your warranty. Other than that, it will be a trial and error deal. I have no idea what dividers the ABIT bios will offer and do you intend to run synch or asynch?

You will be fine apart from one thing, You must backup your information and have a non-raid array as the bootstrap 100/133mhz option is not enabled in bios version 1.2 ( ihave the same board). You should then be able to get very high overclocks ATLEAST 400FSB
