    Remote Fusion Max system install

I finished installing a brand new system. I mean EVERYTHING is new... motherboard, CPU, memory, VGA, HDD, and power supply. The only thing that happens when I turn on the power supply is the front LCD screen glows a bit. I can push the power button and nothing happens. I double checked the PWR and RESET headers. I can't find anything wrong.

    Hi alexcd,

Can you please provide what PSU you're running in your system? There could be a number of things wrong related to the system not powering up correctly, such as DOA RAM, VGA card etc. I'll ask my tech guys to see what might be the issue.

    Thanks,

    Frank

Re: Remote Fusion Max system install

I've had a few people tell me to test my power supply. I agree it is possible to be at fault but the LCD is lit which throws me off. The more i think about it, I suspect the PWR switch. Right now i haven't changed anything from out of the box and simply plugged the 2pin PWR connector to my motherboard. There is a way, according to the case's instructions, to bypass the LCD module. How is this done? I would just like to make sure the PS is being told to turn on.

Here's an interesting thread about another Antec customer's experience with the PWR button on his case.

Re: Remote Fusion Max system install

I found a problem. The 24pin adapter cable has a broken connection in it. I used a meter to ohm it out. It is the "ON" pin per a diagram I found. I shorted this to GND on my power supply and it immediately turned on. The issue is the adapter cable (power to VFD). How can I get a new one?
