    Thumbs down Antec Micro Fusion

I have to say I am not impressed with the Antec Micro Fusion thus far, a case which cost in excess of £100.

I appreciate it is a small case and difficult to work with, but the design of the VFD/LCD is very poor and there is no need for that tbh. For those unfamiliar with the case, the VFD must be unclipped and removed to install the hard disk. It's easy to remove, tbf, but the glass screen falls away from the backlight and is left dangling by the ribbon!! Pulling it out of the very confined space is a PITA with it unsecured and I fear I will end up scratching or cracking it.

To make matters worse, the screen will NOT reattach to the backlight. It has to be pushed in on all four corners but pushing it in on one corner releases it from the opposite corner... Ergo, it is only held in on two corners. There is also a strip of adhesive along the bottom edge but this does little to keep it in place.

So, after my fifth attempt at reinstalling it, it STILL drops forward under the weight leaving the glass screen at a 45 degree angle to both the backlight and the case...

Apparently I am not the only one with this problem. Very, very bad design. Recommendations so far are "glue it down" or "use electrical tape". Not the advice I expect for a new case made by Antec.

Bummer that you're not happy with the case. I have it's cousin, the Veris Fusion Black 420 and love the thing to death. Thus far, I have had no issues with the case itself (the LED display stay's in place). Other great features I like are the cooling capabilities, room for hardware and front panel options.

    Best of luck!

    - Bill

My MicroFusion has the same problem. The the glass screen of the LCD always falls away from the backlight panel. Is there any official methods and guideline to fix this problem Thanks!

You don't say if the LCD is the correct colour? If it is this still makes the Micro Fusion streets ahead of the bright pink abortion that is in the Fusion Max.

    Hi terrysham,

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with the MicroFusion LCD screen. Please go to our website Antec.com and fill out a trouble ticket by going to Support and Online support. Once submitted, you will be issued a RMA # and shipping instructions so you can send the defective LCD screen back for replacement. If you don’t hear from our support team within two business days, shoot me a private message and I’ll follow up with them.

    Thanks
    Eric
