Unhappy High Current Gamer PSU 620, Which way up?

I tried putting my High Current Gamer PSU 620 upside down so the fan is on the bottom as there's a filter on the pc's case at bottom, but when I did that the electric cut out twice each time. Are these psu only designed for the fan to be facing up? I thought down would be better as it would be drawing cold air from outside rather than from in the case if fan face up.

They work fine with the fan down in my experience (and that is the normal ATX case orientation). Something else is causing the cut, like a short somewhere. Check motherboard stand offs, cable connections, IO shield etc.

The most common cause of this problem is that the kettle plug isn't connected properly/pushed fully in. Sometimes it is down to a slightly loose connection.
The unit orientation shouldn't make a difference (as long as there is airflow going through).
