    HCG620M in protected state

2 days ago i bought an Antec HCG620M because my previous psu exploded, well it was expected since it was a 20€ psu from codegen, so 2 days ag i was mounting the psu in my pc and after a few hours i tried to turn te pc on and the psu turned on for something like an half of a second and then it went in protected mode ... i thought it could be my moderboard so i tried another one and the same problem shown up , i tried both inside and outside the case with my cpu with another cpu without cpu swiching ram slots removing the cmos battery and nothing , it always went in a protected state ... i cannot figure out what the problem is since the psu was brand new and sealed and the motherboard ,ram and cpu too i bought them a few month ago.
    please help me!

    HI Jacopo94,

Thanks for posting, with your symptoms on your system, does your system POST for couple of seconds and shuts down?? Do you have a power supply tester?? Have you done the paper clip test on power supply? so we can eliminate if it was indeed your power supply is having this issue.

Here is a link on how to do the paper clip test
