    Upgrade CPU's?

I was planning on getting an eMac but have now decided to save a few more weeks for a 17” iMac or low end G5.

In the mean time I have been given a rev A iMac, It’s a 233mhz G3 model. Is there any way to upgrade the CPU to 400mhz+? As the Mac is in perfect condition I think it’s worth spending up to about £50-75 to make it useable for panther.

    Cheers, Ryan

Good luck. Apple really don't ecourage the whole concept of upgrading, so the only place you are likely to find a new CPU would be eBay or an Apple repair centre, and they will charge you a lot more than £50 - £75 to do it.
