Right, where were we?
Oh yes, the price, yeah, that's pretty sucky, the 15gig is only another $50 for another 11GB of space, and you can be that it's going to be almost $ for £
Good product, wrong price..
Aye, price is a bit off, and we dont get them till april. I was hoping for nicley coloured main iPods too
will prob come down soon anyhoo
And thanks to gordy for doing my job and keeping ya all updated. I was to busy watching the stream and refreshin the applestore
Hmmmm, got to say I'm a little underwhelmed. The iPod mini looks pretty cool, but I think that they are a little off with the price and the marketing. They say that they want to take the high end flash market, but they have priced it a bit high I think. People who buy flash MP3 players do so because they are robust and don't skip when they go to the gym/jogging and size isn't a major issue as a couple of hours will do. The iPod mini is likely to be a very delicate piece of equipment like the other iPods that continually need hard rebooting if you use them jogging alot, so it doesn't really seem to fit the market they are appealing to. It is also just too plain pricey compared to a 15GB iPod for £299. Add to that the generally appauling battery life of only (a very optimistic by all accounts) 8 hours, and except in the style stakes it looks like a pretty average piece of kit. Especially when the (uglier I know) Rio hard drive MP3 player is being released at the same price with a 16hour battery life...
Well disappointed. Would've def. bought a mini iPod had it been about the hundred quid mark (let alone the £60 mentioned in a paper a while back). Can't really justify the £250-odd for a proper pod.
