Question i tunes for a numpty

    Hello

i am new to all this so bear with me. I have got itunes 4 (for windows)in anticipation of the arrival of my new ipod. Last night i was loading some of my cd collection onto it and staying on-line so as to download track info from Gracie, now the copying the CD takes longer than getting the track info, my question is, can i copy ( or rip!) most of my collection than go on line later, highlite the tracks and get the info for 10-20 albums all at once or do i need to do it one album at a time.

    thanks for your help,
    shark

You need to get the info @ the time of ripping to prevent having messed up file names/ID3 tags. If your on broad band you really shouldn't feel the slowness of CDDB!

May i direct everyones attention to:

    Tag And Rename

A very good piece of software for tagging your music, theres even a button which you can click which will go and search www.freeb.com (or something like that) for the album data. Just rip all your CD's into the same folder and start tagging to your hearts content.

it crashes on my server box after 2 days of idle running, it uses a rediculous amount of RAM, it stops playing as soon as you lock your machne, with no option to turn it off. Everyone in my house eagerly installed it at release, now the only guy running itunes has a G5.
