    OSX Server System for Home

    Looking at it for

Centralised File Sharing (advertising NFS Servers via AFP )
    RADIUS/PKI
    Mail Server/Calendar
    Wiki
    Remote Access
    Web for the Mail/Calendar

Would it be worth waiting for the new MacPro's (when?) or for what I want is it not worth worrying about.

Am also considering an EFI-X based system, as an alternative.

Why not add a freenas server to the VM farm for bits of it

it'll do the NFS via AFP bit.

Re: OSX Server System for Home

I want to keep the OSX and VMWare environments seperate.

OSX will be on all the time, VMWare as and when I need it.

Re: OSX Server System for Home

The 1st gen Macpro would serve that purpose with no problem. However a new Macpro would be nice though!!!

One of these days i'll get around to doing the same.
