WTF were apple thinking when they bundled old glossy white charger headphones and dock with a black iphone?

Same with the macbook pro. It's silver - but comes with a glossy white charger and white lead.

Given that much of apple's range is now silver/black... couldn't they be bothered to make the chargers and accessories match ?
