    MBPs with Retina display

The new MBPs with the Retina display look quite smart. Thin, light with what looks like a stunning display. However, I was quite shocked at the price of £1,800! That's a LOT! I'm due a trade in for my current leased MBP but I'm not sure if I'll go for the Retina version.

    Has anyone ordered one yet?

    Re: MBPs with Retina display

It does look good, and I might think about one next year. But I would still prefer for Apple to actually sort out a 13 MBP with a proper screen!
Plus I've got to wait a year until I can get another one with Apples generous education discount.

I've got a 2.8 i7 with an SSD and it's perfect for what I need, but 1280x800 is really taking the biscuit!

Look good over the older MBP. But it is a lot of money. Damn they upgraded the MB air. My 2011 model looking old now.

I do like the new MBP, want to try one out Its a shame they never done nothing to the Imacs would have loved to see that updated as well, maybe we will see a silent update by Apple

    Re: MBPs with Retina display

They are definitely making Retina displays bigger

If you've got friends and family in other countries (e.g US or Asia), the new MBPs are much cheaper, works around 1200 for the more basic retina MBP!

Anyone knows if the Retina display MBPs are out in the London stores?

Had a play with one the other day. The display is gorgeous, but only if the programs and apps are optimised for it though.
