Recieved my 20" Cinema display today :)

Its got the wow factor - no dead pixels, looks incredible Games in widescreen look brilliant, unfortunately not all support it, and the ones that dont look pretty poor stretched out.

I was expecting not to be able to get to my bios, as someone said you could not do it, but the post screen fired up and i went straight in no problem.

Very happy, for £100 more than the dell 20" widescreen, i think its worth it for the asthetics and the wow factor.

You're just trying to compensate for something else...ok, get your minds out of the gutter--I was referring to poor eye-sight.

    I am short-sighted..

but I wanted a decent tft that would do 1600*1200, and 20" screens were the only ones that would do it properly

it worked again before i sent it back, i think it was a loose connection somewhere, did go off with a bang right enough, so i was nervous - apple do a 10 day no quibble return, so changed it with view to getting a 23" when i can afford.

Derthballs, I had a similar problem with the 23". Seems you need to power the machine on first, else the display stays off!

    hi Stoo,

i am thinking of getting either the dell widescreen or the ACD 20"

how are you finding the display?

any defects or problems? backlight issues? dead pixels?

can you provide any pics of it in action?

    thanks,

I'm moving and my camera is in a box. I'll dig it out and take some pics this weekend.
