I think I'd quite like an Apple... BUT

I think I'd quite like an Apple, that ran Mac OS X, but for one thing, the Apple community... not necessarily ALL mac users, but just the "Mac Zealots" - So many times I've expressed interest in Apple to Mac users I know in real life, and rather than welcome me and say "here why not try it out..." they'd rather belittle and pick faults in the PC that I use...

Rather than being friendly, I've had Mac users instantly tell me to get lost because I use a PC ! Also, if you buy Mac magazines they always go on about how Macs are superior than PCs and talk about what the PC world is doing wrong, and it just gets so boring to read over and over again...

A friend of mine, says it's like supporting a football team, but I don't think it should be like that at all, you should just be able to use a PC or a Mac and not have people say you are an idiot for using one over the other!

This article here puts it well:

I agree with you josh, and I've decided to hell with all the mac/pc politics.

If the new 15" powerbook gets lauched tomorrow, I WILL get one as soon as I can.

Hopefully they will be ready to ship and I'll bring it back from the US in 3 weeks time.
