I still think the 12" is too heavy. It needs to be thinner/ widescreen. But I doubt it could be make much smaller.

Yea. Also the 12" usually has a crappier LCD (I should know ).

Bah part of me 'wants' this but there is the other part saying I don't need it...also this could be a 'gap' filler... with the PB G5's out by the end of the year (come on, they got the G5s inside the iMacs!).

Still, HE pricing will prove these to be the cheapest and fastest powerbooks out there.

I'm gonna hold off till the powerbook g5's come out / I actually need one...

Oh great. Guess who ordered a replacement on Friday (couldn't really hold it off because I'm replacing a stolen Powerbook), it's time to cancel that order I feel.

fathazza, the prev model used a panel that wasn't as crystal as the 15" and 17".

Go to a store and check out the 12" and 15" panels side by side, play a DVD...

    You'll notice it

    Gordy,

First off, hi [I'm alias Shak, long time since I've read/spoken to you though ]. I rang my supplier, it's not direct from Apple. He says that they didn't get the one I've ordered in. So he can do me a new model

£1973+VAT for 1.67Ghz/100GB HDD/512MB RAM/128MB graphics/CD-RW+DVD-ROM, another one of those Crumpler "The Gimp" cases and a 20" Apple Cinema Display.

If I buy it through work, there's no VAT to pay.

My insurance payout was £1917.01, so £56 balance to pay to work

I know that the last post may be in jest, but I'm fed up of people moaning at the lack of G5s. The cooling issues on the G5 will need to be sorted perfectly before they release something with the G5 in it. And when they are finished, they'll get released. Maybe MW July/MW Jan '06. It's going to be something big that will definitely be released at a MacWorld.
