Just went to see my friend's G5 today and I must say I was underwhelmed. It has such a noisy hard drive in it it's untrue and the optical drive bay door is rather tacky and horrid. Nice case just ruined a little by some bad touches.

I have seen both the 1.6 and dual 2Gig and neither have had loud HD's...as for the optical door...I personaly think it is great having it slip down into the case...nice touch there

Hmm, maybe it was just my friends case, but the Hard Drive was really loud, though this is one of the first ones in America (I've jst got back from visting). Also I think it is nice that the door slides down, but it is hardly 'apple slick', it just seemed a bit jerky and rattled a bit. But as I say it might just have been my friends one.
