    G5 v G4 v PC comparison

    http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,1274637,00.asp

The g5 outperforms a dell workstation in some tasks but the pc does the same in others. I'd call it a narrow win for the dell but thats me

Tell me about it! Those b*****ds....I think they are conspiring against us to empty our bank accounts! I can't wait until next year when I can sell my old 10Gb iPod and PC so I can buy a Powerbook and new iPod.

One thing though, I just wish they would cut the dodge benchmarks in the marketing campaign....

A lot of Mac software still isn't OS X compatible never mind 64bit optimised. Besides you're buying for the design asthetic, not on any other criteria so what does it matter. Mac's have always had poor price/performance vs PC's. The G5 definately hasn't changed that one iota.
