12" i/pbooks battery recall

wahey ive been using my laptop for nearly a year and apple have kindly said theyre gonna replace the battery free of charge

its a safety recall on grounds of 'overheating' due to '4 compliants'

read - overheating = fire

My old one was one of those batteries, but it never got any warmer than the replacement one, shame I forgot to send the old one back..

and how do they send the new battery? do you have to sign for it?

Nope, they've not chased me yet, and it's been months..

They send the new one via courier, and just give you the labels to send it back.

there must have been quite a big issue over this because they're £92 per battery so it must be costing them a fair bit to recall all of em
