The 'Getting to Know Tiger Better' Thread

    Ok peeps.

After watching this video : http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...94585380&q=mac

I found out that i have a lot to learn, as regards to what tiger (OSX 10.4) can actually do!

How can the person on screen zoom into a certain part of the screen, get windows from the graphics program to expand (but not the other programs) like F9 does. Please post your short-cuts and what and how to do's here!!

Anything is greatly appreciated for me and others

    Cheers

oh thats gotta be my favourite - i even used it in a presentation at uni

'ALT' and 'applekey' and '+' - zooms in and

'ALT' and 'applekey' and '-' - zooms back out again

great feature - might need to be enabled in the system preferences under the disability blind people thingymabob if i remember correctly

    ------------------------

also i use the hot corners - bottom right i set to widgets and bottom left is screensaver

    ---------------------------

oh and also RSS screensaver is brilliant use that too

    --------------------------

if you need to move the icons on the top right like the battery status, bluetooth, clock then hold down applekey and click and drag, you can remove them completely or just change them round.

hehe well there is a way around it...

    see here : http://www.andrewescobar.com/archive...1/30/frontrow/

just make sure you follow instructions precisely. and remember that apple key and esc opens it up! normally you need a g5 with isight; but i was so pleased when it worked

    cheers

    ian

It's awesome isn't it! All you need now is a remote to go with it!

does anyone know how i can get all my contacts from my lg 8360 phone (with bluetooth and usb) onto the mac? as onsync and isync software don't seem to support the phone

any universal program that someone may know about?

    cheers

Cheers for the front row tip, putting it on my mac mini For the phone you might need to download Missing Sync. I had to get it for my SPV M500. It's a good app and supports loads of phones.

About the missing sync; it states for palm os and windows mobiles/smart phones.

will it work with my normal lg (8360)?

    Cheers
