    uh .... HELP!

    Ok,

Using my lovely mini mac with tiger 10.4.5 installed; i am getting a few problems.

First of all my mouse, the (wireless) Logitech LX7 which is supposedly fully compatible with the mac becomes sticky and unresponsive at times, and sometimes the mac will interpret the single button click as something else.

Secondly, from time to time i get random pop-ups, mac progs and folders pop up randomly when i am surfing the web or just doing nothing.

For instance i have had the DVD player, Applications folder, iTunes and My documents folder all popping up. I disabled mouse gestures in opera, and also turned off all the keys on my mouse, to make sure i wasn't clicking the buttons accidentally; but no.

They just pop up from time to time and i cannot explain it

Also sometimes whilst surfing in opera, again the button gets stuck and then the bar showing different webpages in opera comes up and one gets selected and i get taken to a page i dont want to go to

    Can anyone help?!?!

    Cheers

    Ian

Make sure you haven't got Expose hasnt got hot corners turned on.

Keyboard umm , if its an intel one there are issues I believe with wireless kb's and mice with the new mini's and imacs

No its a normal, proper mac mini

To solve the mouse problem temporarily i just hit reset and it works again, but it soon starts jittering again.

As for the hot corners, I have them enabled, but my mouse is still, and not moving to the corners, but the things still popup. My hot corners are show desktop, show widgets and tile windows.

So none of my settings for hot corners relate to the applications folder, dvd player etc. The DVD player and applications window will just popupeven when i dont have them open elsewhere

    Cheers

Try repairing permissions to see if that helps

i forgot to update this thread.

i got my mouse replaced and it still does it intermittantly, the only way to stop it from doing the above is to unplug the usb receiver and put it back in and all works hunky dory, i really dont know why though.

as when it slows down sometimes turning off or resetting the mouse doesnt help :s

    at least it is 'bearable'

I also get this problem, once a day my mouse will just freeze. I'm using a Logitech wireless one. As soon as I unplug the USB cable and put it back in its fine.
