Lightbulb New Apple Media Centre in the works?

Was just reading up on a few of my favourite news sites and found that there was something that all of them noted on. The Apple shareholder meeting. A few of the general topics were covered, but most interesting were comments from Jobs such as: "The new products in the pipeline are the best I’ve ever seen in my life" and when a shareholder requested for an "ultimate media centre" to be made, Jobs responded with "We hear you loud and clear".

So, what do you guys think? Personally i'd like to see enough component inputs to fit at least 4 types of AV hardware (DVD/Video Player?) and then the whole hog for TV inputs so i can hook up my sky box and maybe a good system of outputs to send out the tv stream across a network. AirPort Express + AirTunes anyone? With that system its already got component L & R outputs for hooking up to a stereo, shouldn't bee too much hassle to hook up S-Video or even HDMI...

Linking to this Apple could be in the process of making their own "Digital Broadcasting System" to battle with the likes of Sky. They already have most of the prime-time shows hosted on iTunes, it shouldn't be too difficult to get those same tv networks to broadcast over an apple system.

    Let the rumour mill begin!

I'll have some of what you're smoking please. If Apple do anything like that it will be playback of pre-downloaded content, and even that's unlikely due to the state that is the UK broadband market with the caps which seem to be dropping daily.
