iPod batteries

Got sent this link about Ipod's batteries.....nicely done using iMovie.
Is it true that they are internal and not user replaceable? (I am a non iPod owning person)

I've had my iPod for 2 years now, and the battery is still fine. I myself wont believe a solitary iMovie, and most people I've talked to have no probs with their batteries.
