Strange file browsing problem in Quark

I have an Apple Mac here at work that's behaving oddly so I thought I'd come here and ask for help

I've just reinstalled it with the original restore disks so it runs OSX and classic (for when we use Quark 4.1 and Photoshop 6)

I have connected it to a network server (NT4 via Appletalk) and I can browse the folders without a problem.

When I run Quark/Photoshop however I try to open a folder, point it at the network share and it allows me to go down 1 directory but that's it, I can't go any further than that, weird huh?

It's definitely connected to the server cos I can browse the files fine from outside of Quark or Photoshop.

    Any ideas anyone?

Can't be cos I have another Mac on the network that can access the whole directory without any problems (the other one runs OSX 10.2.6 and the problem one runs 10.1.5)

    Any more ideas?

I've sorted it now. Apparently it's a problem in OSX 10.1 which even Apple themselves can't sort out. The only solution is to upgrade to OSX 10.2 and pay Apple some more money........

Sounds a bit like Microsoft that policy.
