    Apple newbie Advice

Thinking of getting a mac having never owned one. Would like to spend very little money about £120 max. Would an old G3 still happly run Dreamweaver, internet etc... what would be the slowest cpu I should aim for? Should be able to go wireless somehow and run an upto date o/s (which is?)

    wow, thats a tight budget....

have a look at emacs on ebay, they usually go for around 100. And would be the newest mac for your money. If you try to go for a laptop.. for 120 quid, then it would either be either a very very old one or a very very broken one....

    hope this helps!

Well just brought this on fleabay

Blue and white PowerMac G3 300Mhz with 256M of RAM 6G hard disk, CD drive, modem and EtherNet card. It has a fresh install of Mac OS 10.3.9.

Full working order, no keyboard or mouse.

Only cost me £18, should make a start anyway.

I would throw some more ram and a bigger hard disc at that. OS X loves ram and 6gb hard disc space isn't really enough.
