Removal of Spa from the F1 calender.

    Hi
What does everyone think to this decision. (to remove Spa.) Its this time of year when i would be looking forward to trekking out into the Ardennes and camping with a load of loud, drunk, abusive Germans listen to there Euro-crap music.

Still it is an experience, i think that it is crime they have removed it from the calender. The drivers love it, and the fans love it! Its got so much history as well, unlike one of these new Middle East, Far Eastern tracks. Anyway, arent there terrorists there.......!

Tbh, id like to see some far eastern action. Ok, back to motorsport Seriously though, i recon they should diversify as it is a GLOBAL sport and the eastern peeps are about as mad as us europeans about it. Plus id like to see lots of hot asain chicks on the track before the GP! :instant-semi:
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!

surely they could have taken a different race off the calender?! such as european one, as germany have on already (hockenhiem). and pretty much every european country has one....

I personally don't like the new Hockenheim, I prefered the old track with the long straights and chicanes. F1 is going to the other tracks for money and sponsorship over the history of the sport imo. Not that many of the drivers would prefer to race in Saudi Arabia instead of Belgium, if the money that would be pumped into the sport would be the same. But, Belgium doesn't have huge supplies of oil in the country does it, so off to Saudi Arabia it is.

Well good news everyone. Apparently SPA is going to be back on the calender, so we will get a race there some time this year!! dont know how they managed that!?

There has been no date confirmed as yet though....

how do i change the thread title to saying 'F1 back at Spa' or something....lol

O, i also thought of a race that should be removed. Hungary! It is not a very good race, no overtaking places.....or so they say

Where have you heard that mate? I doubt that it will happen as it is a bit late in the season, and there will surely be hardly any spectators able to get travel arrangements etc and be able to go to it. I dont think the FIA would do something like that as it would cost them more money than its worth to have spa put back in place for this season. Maybe its for next season???
Still, its good news at least

lol, ok then. The announcements for next years race schedule is usually around this time of year, so I'm gonna wait for that to confirm/deny that Spa will be back.

Its one of the purest, greatest F1 tracks. Has everything, sadly missed from this years and possibly next years calender
