Ford Fiesta SUV - what are the odds Ford will ruin the production version?

Looks good, but what are the odds that Ford, by the time that there's a production ready version will have got rid of all the interesting design cues and turned it into a dull as ditchwater design?

Looks quite like the Rover 25 equivalent (Streetwise?) - jacked up on tall shocks with some daft plastic tacked around the bottom - not my idea of fun...

Looks like a jacked up Corsa to me....they never look as good as the library pictures anyway! Looks quite good in those pics, definately has a hint of the new Galaxy/S Max styling in it to.

Now if they put a cosworth engine in that, and decent suspension/brakes etc in it, that could be a whole heap of fun - mad rival to the Panda 4x4?

there are now so many layers of plastic that the windows are half the size!!!! wouldn't surprise me if in 5 years we are seeing plastic wheels...

not really sure where the SUV part comes in. It looks like a small 5 door hatchback that's been raised up by 200mm..
