Spotted this on another forum, might be of use to some people!
Some good news.
If you got a speeding ticket, fine and points for speeding at J24 of the M4 when the temporary roadworks were in place between July 2002 and October 2003 it is in fact WRONG!
The camera was incorrectly sited and was able to photograph vehicles as they accelarated into the de-restricted motorway. Apparently innocent drivers have paid over £150,000 was collected illegally.
If you are one oif the people caught then you can phone the Mid & South Wales Camera Partnership on 01443 743772 and get your fine refunded and the points removed from your licence.
This is not being advertised nationally or locally and the drivers who were "caught" are not going to be contacted so if you know anyone who was done (I make that 2,500 drivers) then pass on the good news.
Source is "Motorcycle Rider" the BMF magazine.
Hope it helps someone on here.
