The 206CC is expensive. Damm nice though! Ya can't beat the MX5 for value for money/fun.

206cc is expensive new.. but the resale value is quite low if I remember correctly... and they've been out for about 2 years now... I like em better than the new 306cc.

    HATE the 306 all together...

Ya can't beat the MX5 for value for money/fun.
on a NEW car... nope... I could say for a cheap fun 2nd hand (more like 18th hand car) the Renault 5 GT Turbo is more fun LOL!

307CC is nice. but again... they havent been out long and the price tag is still high.

Megane CC is again nice.. but ya'll struggle to find a second hand one.

206CC is expensive new and expensive second hand. They are a new car. Where as a H reg ish MX5 is a bloody great car for little money in comparision to the other cars mentioned above.

BTW: The 5 GT Turbo isnt RWD.. and it has a roof. so that's no good for summer fun cruising along the beach.

    Nice car David.

    Other suggestions for XTR:

MGF: Has the bonus of being mid-engined.

MR2 T-Bar: Not a true convertible, but MR2s are great cars. Mark1s are cheaper and IMO cooler (although mint ones are going up in value now, if anything), Mark2s are bigger and a bit softer- unless you get the turbo, which is an animal. MK2s only look cool on 17s IMO, normally I don't really like big wheels but the MK2 needs 'em.

MGF: don't go near them - build quality which makes Trabants seem positively well made, engines which won't do 50k without needing (yes, needing) the head gasket doing, terrible driving position,,,

    MR2: nice cars

    MX-5s: teh daddeh

MR2 T-Bar. Get a Mk1, they handle really well and go like stink.

    Mk1 Supercharger: ~140BHP.
    Mk2 GT: ~160 BHP.

Mk1 SC accelerates a lot harder though 'cos it's lighter and has a lot more low down torque. 0-60 in about 6.7s. You can tune 'em up to 180+ with a bigger SC pulley and other minor mods.
