Too busy to really nail it, but here's some of the second valve going off. Try to remember that the exhaust note is pretty loud, so to hear that valve so clearly over the noise of the engine as well.. take it from me it's bloody loud!

    Tart Mav.

Current BHP - unknown. Last rolling road showed 131bhp at 5.6k rpm, 150 lbs/ft of torque at 2.97k rpm.

Since then it's had a new carb, new exhaust, new intercooler, boost turned up a bit and I cleaned the induciton kit. I'm hoping for about 150bhp at the moment but I dunno if it's hitting that. It's booked in for a power run in a fortnight. Once the new turbo and big front mount intercooler go on it'll be running about 200bhp+.

0-60 is currently about mid 7s. Cost? You could make a Clio GT Turbo for about 4 grand. Insurance isn't too bad, £503 fully comp including business use.

Have to say that sounds a rather excelent combination of speed vs insurance you've found there. And an eventual 200bhp in a little car like that is mental

Don't forget though it doesn't go without it's drawbacks lads. It will only run on Optimax or better and max range is about 180 miles. If there's not an Optimax station along the way you're in trouble.

Then there's the servicing. Has to be done religiously at 4,000 miles at the most. Not cheap..

Then you have to make sure the turbo is warm before nailing it, and cool before switching the engine off. Gotta treat it with respect.

Power doesn't really interest me unless it's got the torque to match. Hopefully I'll have more torque than power once it's up to about 200bhp. Then it's time to make sure the weight is where it should be - about 830kg.

Get a Turbo timer for the cooldowns :-)

the 200 isnt too much different, Oil changes every 3,000 miles - short range ( looks like I'll be lucky to get 170 miles out of the last £35 of Optimax I put in , but that probably as its slightly overfueling )

once I've got used to the current power level , it will be time for the Skyline Injectors , 300zx AFM , a chip re-mapp,300zx brakes and 300 bhp

CBA with buying a turbo timer for 100 notes when just driving carefully for a mile does the same job, if not better due to more air getting into the engine.

I'd of thought a 200 would go a little further than that. Blummin 2.0l lump though I guess.

a 200sx lump will see 800bhp with an ass load of cash pumped into it.

Junauto did one a while back it ran 8 second 1/4's iirc

only a few late Jap models of the s13 had the 2.0l lump - the rest of us get the 1.8

Once I've got the fueling sorted I'd like to see more than 250 miles from a tank ( its only a small tank )

I get the feeling that its a little rare....though
