As a stag do thing/birthday present my dad bought me and my brother (best man) tickets to have an hour with Mercedes AMG on the track - that's 5-10 minutes instruction, then 50 minutes driving my pick of Mercedes AMG cars around a track with an instructor.
How much fun is this going to be?! The biggest engined thing I've driven before is a Jag X-type 2.2D - I get the feeling a 6.3 litre CLK AMG might be a little different...

Should be good fun, i got an experience day with an aston DB9/continental GT for my birthday which I still havent booked...
Also got a rally experience day which i did in april, driving a rally spec sierra cosworth (300bhp) around a gravel track. Great fun!
Mercs don't do corners, especially the big ones (Mercs, that is, but equally applies to corners). So have fun in straight lines
I dunno, that CLS AMG clarkson drove on Top Gear looked alot of fun round corners....

Its bound to go around corners better than most cars on the road, especially if you're allowed in an SL55/65 AMG.
I don't think they're going to let you slide on these track days
Indeed, I didn't say it wasn't going to be fun, but compared with Porsches and Ferraris in the same price category, they don't do corners.
Still wouldn't mind a chance to drive them. Where you doing this btw?
hmm. I think AMG sort more than just engines - I'm sure they'll corner quite well...
enjoy the day - never done anything like it myself, make sure you post pics/vid after the event

Does AMG have ANYTHING to do with the McLaren SLR? If so, it would be mandatory for you to have a go in it (although I'm sure there'll be one there to play in anyway)

I think, to be honest, that any of the AMG cars will be quite enough for me. I won't be too upset if I don't get to drive the SLR
