alonso is an utter prick from all the footage and interviews I have seen... some Italians have their right food wedged too far up their arse for their own good..

NOTHING TO BE SEE HERE, MOVE ALONG PLEASE....
:: of all the things i've lost i miss my mind the most ::
I didn't even get to see the GP - we had rugby on ITV in Wales but they didn't bother putting the GP on ITV4 either, they had the same rugby match on again (according to schedules anyway, didn't get round to checking). Had to watch the highlights. Don't think Kimi was caught napping though. Only so much you can do if you had a poor corner exit before a massive straight.
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.
Guess I'll get slated, but I'd much rather Alonso won the title than Hamilton. Been a fan of his for a while, and as a McMerc fan I was chuffed when he signed. He might be off soon, but hopefully as WC. I don't dislike Hamilton that much, but I guess I'm partly just sick of the hype and bias. I'd have to watch with the sound down if he was world champion. Blame James Allen.
I guess I'm one of the few folk that admires Ron Dennis. I know Lewis wouldn't have been carefully nurtured if he was incapable of offering McLaren something, but at the same time I think he should show a little more respect for the gaffer and team that brought him through. Whatever he said to them after the Alonso incident, he was bang out of order. And it wasn't the first time seemingly, but hey, our tabloids don't want to tell you much about that, do they ? Or the set-up "sharing" issues, or any of the rest.
After the pit stop incident, Alonso was torn apart in the press, and especially on ITV. But on that same show, Lewis' behaviour (both during and after quali) was talked about with a wry smile and was seemingly just "the behaviour of a winner" What the ?! Didn't think I heard it correctly so I rewound it, and sure enough "it just showed how much he wanted to win". Right, so he wasn't actually just disobeying team orders and then mouthing off at his boss then ?
I'm just sick of the double standards. Another driver has car problems, these are just part of F1, Lewis has them, he's so unlucky. If another driver explains poor performance, it's excuses, Lewis does likewise, the nation frowns sypathetically. But I forgot, Lewis is "straightforward and honest" and doesn't make excuses. Oh, apart from the poor balance, flat spotting etc. on Sunday.
If he just showed a but more respect, and a little less arrogance I'd like him a lot more. Not arrogant ? Sorry, but anyone who says this year's championship is tighter because Alsonso has competition "now" needs a good slap. And the "McLaren know they have two great drivers" line nearly made me headbutt the TV. You need that attitude when the visor is down, but it wouldn't hurt to have a little more humility when he's in a conference. Equally Alonso's comment about being resposible for the McLaren turn-around this year was utter balls. But I'd like to have seen Hamilton's pace without Alonso's input into the car and set-up.
Sorry, ramble over, let's just hope they're at different teams with comparable cars next year and we can see a clean(er) fight. Alonso at Renault with Heikki perhaps ?
Nope you won't get slated by me, I can't stand the sheer pro hype that ITV generate either. But if you look at the moves and performance Hamilton has had from the off, you do have to respect the fact that he is really quality.
I personally believe that there is no way you can get to F1 unless you are so driven that you'd sell your own grandmother to get there, you need a healthy dose of self confidence in you and your own abilities otherwise you'd not get there, sometimes sadly that does cross the line into arrogance.
I'm actually tempted to agree with you about the Alonso winning the WC and seeing them in different cars next year, because I honestly believe that Hamilton will be huge.
As for hype, he's still ahead in points, people are too excited about the chances of him winning and letting that get the better of them

You won't get slated by my either, but I don't think Alonso deserves to win the title this year. He's been very, very poor in some races. Kimi or Massa probably deserve it more than he does, but their team don't for having made such an unreliable car. Who'd have though the McLaren would have been stronger than the Ferrari?! Hamilton certainly deserves it more. I've never seen a rookie season as strong as this, regardless of car or future success. He's relentless, consistently in the thick end of the points and leads the thing on merit.
He isn't is the little angel many Brits seem to think though. In my opinion he'll be looked at in the way Schumacher was in the not too distant future, and not in a good way.
