    Your Hexus Challenge....

... if you choose to accept it

Is to find me a used / nearly new / new 3 door car, with 1yrs free insurance.

This can either be, online, main dealer 'deals' or a garage etc.

The only condition(s) I have with the car is that it needs to be:
A hatchback that has a bit of go, and feasible to insure on the 2nd year.

I've been driving for over a year now, but this car would earn me my 1st No Claims year = 35% off next year

    Other facts:

Current Car: 1.1 Go-Kart, sorry Metro
    Age: 19 (20 this yr - eek )

Any other questions email me (click the sig) or reply to this post

I am open to suggestions, thats why the requirements above are broad, so lets see what you can dig up for me

    Ta.

    Nick

Methinks Citroen recently started another free insurance offer on all their C2 range. They might have it on other models like the C3 as well if you're looking for a little more space.

Price range is negligable, cos I might get it on finance going on the current low rates (sub 4%)...

Cars that are expensive to purchase are normally expensive to insure - hence I need it insurable on the 2nd year

I like the C2 + C3, anyone source anymore information (e.g. specs / prices etc)? I'm at work atm, and haven't got long left on my lunch!

    Citroen free-insurance page:

    http://www.citroen.co.uk/offers/prom...&lhn=challenge

    Problem Though

One year's free insurance available on all new Saxo Furio, VTR & VTS models, all new C2 Furio, VTR & GT models and on all new C2 L, LX & SX models (when financed via Elect 3) on the UK mainland only, ordered between 1st - 31st January 2004 and registered between 1st January - 31st March 2004. Offer subject to Manufacturer's and Insurer's conditions. Age restrictions apply: 21-80 years for all qualifying C2 models. Typical Elect 3 Finance example: C2 1.1i L, on the road price £6,995 (with £600 cashback applied), customer deposit £1,012.57, then 36 monthly payments of £139, followed by an optional final payment of £2,630. Total amount payable £8,786.57 APR 14.1%. A credit facility charge of £95 is payable in addition to the first monthly payment, and a £45 option to purchase fee is payable with the final payment. Credit subject to status and to over 18’s only. A guarantee maybe required. Written quotations available on request. One year's Free Insurance also available on Xsara VTS Coupé models. An age restriction of 25-80 years applies for all qualifying Xsara models. Offer available strictly to retail customers only.
    from the Citroen site

Horlicks on the age thing. Seems it may not be possible regardless due to your youthfull looks! I suggest this will also be the case elsewhere but by all means keep looking. However I suggest you may have to budget for some monthly insurance as well as any finance deal you arrange. Sorry mate.

USed Cars....and Free Insurance are a hard combo....

A Main Manufacturer has already SOLD a used car......once its used, it's someone elses car....

so Free Insurance with Used cars normally reflects a Higher Price by the dealer to PAy for the "Free" Insurance

    Sorry mate....seriously unlikely

Most of the free insurnace delas i've seen have been 21-80 year olds, or 21-75 year olds only.
Not seen any for 18/19/20 year olds tbh.

Ok this may not help you but it's of interest if you want new:

Fiat are offering 0% Finance on these models. Of interest if I were you would be the new Panda because it's cheap to buy, will be really easy to insure and have space for all your mates. Also because it's small it'll feel nippy and looks pretty good too!
