Pretty likely someone from MIG will live near you, they'll show you how to do it and then tell you what the codes mean, failing that theres a guide on TOPBUZZ iirc..

Could be a few things, but first as you said it stutters a bit, it might be your fuel filter being slightly clogged up but thats a quess.

I had that happen with the truck, would be rough as hell on idle and even cut out sometimes, turned out to be the filter. Cheap and easy and worth a look IMO.

I'll dig out the haynes manual later and take a peer over the weekend. I wouldn't describe the idle as 'Rough as hell' on it though. It might be normal for this engine... it's not horrible or anything, sometimes it does seem worse than others though.

Took it out for lunch earlier and it sounded sweet as a nut... I'm so confused !

I will try the paperclip test at the weekend too, apprently that does work on this engine.

Before you did it, say a month or so before, did you top the oil up?
