Any suggestions?
It'll probably be in a (cold) garage. And it's a petrol punto... dun dun derrrrrr....
I can start it up every now and again, and would be insured to drive it. So should I just take it for a drive every week?

yes, it might get lonely.
It's a fiat, just take it for that weekly drive and then drop it off at the dealer to have whatever parts fall off re-fitted, then repeat.

Probably worth finding a trickle charger for the battery. left mine standing 9 months and all it needed was a charge, however, it's never held one since.
pah.
Nowt wrong with Fiat
If you know the radio code, take battery off and leave car.
Leave handbrake OFF.... leave car IN GEAR and with bricks to stop it rolling.
And make sure antifreeze is ok.

There's a guy who can recode the ECU for something like £120 on _some_ models- otherwise it's new ECU time.
Interesting, my punto (l reg) was sat outside for 4 weeks with the interior light on (well, about 2 days with the light on then a dead battery), and started fine with just a blue key. It was a 55 S though, so maybe a spare key was deemed too hoity toity. After said incident mine was grand, although it did run a little rough (er) for about 50 miles.
