    Genius Virtual Cable Sat-nav

Was wondering if anyone else has seen this before.

Virtual Cable™ Car Navigation - Safe, Simple and Intuitive

Seems to be a very very good idea and the videos seem to show it could be implemented pretty well, much better than glancing at a small screen and sometimes confusing maps.

    Re: Genius Virtual Cable Sat-nav

Saw this back when it was on engadget as well.

It looks a really good system. I have had problems before where Because my missus has lost the mount to the sat nav she holds it and doesnt tell me which turn it is Im supposed to be taking. THis would negate the need to rely on my missus and also if its built directly into the car ya wouldnt have to worry about charging wires dangling

I don't recommend that, turning her directions off again is nearly impossible.

    Re: Genius Virtual Cable Sat-nav

seems its based on a laser. I cant imagine how they could render an image in the screen with a laser yet prevent it from passing through..
Would be funny if every car had a laser shining out the window...
