Mk5 Golf GTi - $23,000 or £23,000???

The answer is both - new in the states a Mk5 costs the same in dollars!!! WTF

So, what's the sketch veedub? Does it cost half as much to make them over there? Are they even made over there?

And thanks to the dealer response to my interest, there's naff all chance of me even considering a brand spankers one, thank you very much...

/goes off to find a low mileage 5dr DSG GTi in black with 18s & leather... could take some time....

I found this out a while back, when bored at work, specing up a GTI with all the trimings, Leather Recaro's sat-nav, and pretty much all the extras it came to roughly $28-$29k which is still ridiculous!

I know its a slightly different car mechanics wise, but still surely it costs ALOT more to get them over to a different continent

I wonder how much it would cost to import one . . . .
