    Or NSL Country roads?

Nothing worse than sitting behind someone who does 20 round the bends yet boots it to 40 out of each corner, then remains at that speed before effectively stopping again at the next corner.

Doesn't make for a very enjoyable journey.

on one of my lessons i did the opposite, 20 down the straight bits then 40 around the corner. i got the pedals mixed up, and i thought the accelerator was the brake. oh how we laughed..

my theory on why people are idiots in hot weather -

    formula 1..

you watch F1 and hear the commentators saying stuff about how the drivers need heat in tyres to go quicker around corners/more traction and whatnot. you then drive on a hot day and think "hmm my tyres are hot, the suns warmed them up", so you think you are a F1 driver and so you drive faster. more heat in tyres = more traction, cus thats what the bloke on the TV said.... right?

The sticking at 40 would annoy me, but the country lanes I drive on every day have many blind corners where your observation necessarily limits you to 20 or so. The corner could be taken faster by car (and driver) if the visibility was there, but it's not.

Yea, I agree with that, its more that sticking to 20 because there is a bend ahead is what annoys me - especially if it is a long sweeping bend, that has perfect visibility all the way round the corner.

Or, when you do go to overtake them, they suddenly wake up to the fact it is a 60 and charge to 60 as you go past (bloody Jeep driver!).

*nods* I've had that a couple of times. Both annoying (and bloody dangerous in the latter case).
