    suggestions for side skirts

this is the car, at the moment i have a front super S bumper waiting to go on plus a Seat Ibiza splitter to go on the rear. i'm after a nicely smooth look, not the M3 ones though (too many of them going around).

was thinking of maybe some delta ones....

    Any suggestions?

Each to their own I say.

Would you prefer it maybe if he followed the more mainstream saxo/corsa route?

I saw the humble micra in a different light after seeing one of these at the pod:

    http://www.j-garage.com/nissan/march/2410.htm

    Supercharged & Turbo charged

they will also take a 2 litre primera engine without too much fuss to make a great sleeper.

If you want some great body work done , have a chat with brutus on the www.sxoc.com forums - he is a whizz with filler and can make more or less anythign you want

I've noticed A LOT of your posts seem to be very negative! Get a grip!

we'll since i've not taken much notice of bodykits it's had to distingish them between the different styles....

wilsonian; nice car dude.. got any suggestions on skirts you like? then we could maybe elimate it down to one style ?

Very subtle mate, no massive bumpers/side skirts/alloys. Not lowered a lot, no illegal tints, very nicely done, much better than the Corsa/Saxo/Nova et al sheds that are seen on the roads.

Apparently, with some slight work you can transversley mount the RB26DETT Skyline engine and make the car rear wheel drive too, one hell of a sleeper!

I'd say keep it as near to "plain" as you can, and just make it go *really* quick and handle like a dream

theres always one fool in the crowd. you don't know much about cars do you? the nissan micra engine is a very sturdy lump. i know a 1.3 twin cam 16v turbo'd and is hitting 200bhp!

i know it has a granny image but thats great because even my humble 1ltr 16v can whip a 1.3 fezzy off the line!

any way i'm not wanting to get into a slagging match (if i did i'd go to the SSC)

i'm just after options at the moment. i have a few things waitting to go on (don't worry not too extreme) but i'm getting 1.3 cams and a new manifold for it as well.

Gotta agree, i have one of the new style Micras, 1.4 and it really does go a bit when you put your foot down. Okay, so its not gonna leave a Scooby for dead at the lights, but its more than happy going along the motorways, as well as nipping through the town and squeezing into little parking spaces.

Personally, i love the Micra, its not trying to be sporty or superfast, its just trying to do what imo a supermini should do. I will say that the good old 1ltr micra engine is very effecient and also is very powerful for its displacement.

    yeeeaaahhhh lets all flame meeeee!!!!

i stand by what i said, micra is a VERY unsporty car. i mean please!! the 1 litre 'sport' has a 0-60 time of 15.5 seconds!! i agree 100% with

but i seriously find the idea of trying to make one look mean, or make one with a 1l engine 'fast' is simply laughable... i dont think there is a single less agressive looking car on the market today - even a mini looks meaner than a micra - possably the new micra is more girly but im not sure.. they are fine as cars, and if you simply had posted one going 'this is my car, it goes, its reliable etc' i wouldnt have made a point but trying to make it either faster or mean looking is imo a bit silly. why not flog it, put the money from the sale PLUS all the money you would have put on bodykit/engine upgrades and so on into the purchase of a car which is faster and meaner looking from stock, if a fast, mean looking car is what your after?

They are good cars, but i will go with 5lab on this and say they just aren't cutting it when it comes to lookin hot.

The Micra at the start of this thread is nice tho, i think the current alloys really suit the colour and shape of the car

ok first off insurance. secondly i've been GIVEN this car by my dad. thirdly theres alot of boyracers around my way (manchester) and the look on their face when i'm not only able to keep up but also over take and hit corners quicker is just great! it's totaly a stealth car! i've kept up with 1.3 106 rallye's, 1.4 west coast saxo's, 1.3 fezzys and the 1.2 punto.

i aint making the above up, several of my friends have thoses cars and they couldn't shake me!

my aim is to get around 75bhp out of it, maybe a bit more. now think abut it...

54bhp std 1ltr can hit 75 bhp at a cost of around £300-400. thats an increase of 50% power! and thats just improving the breathing of the engine. i just want to get my car nippy

but please like a said, recommendations for side skirts. not childish arguments about my car.
