Apparently I could fill the hole up with a MIG welder, then drill and tap it. But....I don't have a mig welder (though I plan to buy one sometime this year). I think a replacement hub from a scrapyard will be easier; apparently getting the driveshaft out will be a pain though?
I need a Haynes manual.
It's not removing the drive-shaft that's hard, it's removing the hub flange from the bearing.
What a cracking little motor! MK1 Rallyes are the most fun 106 of them all! And for £300 that is a true bargain!
